The Knights of Pythias was the first Fraternal Society chartered by an Act of Congress, and the only Congressionally established Order of Knights in the history of the US, its rituals (based on the legend of Damon and Pythias) being approved by President Abraham Lincoln. Once a cornerstone of American social life, like many fraternal orders, the Knights have diminished in size and power, let’s change that!

We need 9 men/women to charter a new Lodge/Castle. When we have the number we will meet and decide on how to run things as a group. I am a recent Knight, having received my ranks from Bay Lodge #12 over in Clearwater; they along with the Grand Lodge of Florida will come and confer the ranks of Page, Squire, and Knight upon those wanting to join – at which point we will choose our officers and sign our charter.
